Tell It to a Policeman
I thought this was a pretty good short, though some of the gags (like the shoes stuck to the paper) went on perhaps a little long.
When he got into the plane, I thought, here we go again.
But that ended pretty quickly. The chase at the end kind of reminded me a little of a miniature version of Lloyd’s at the end of
Girl Shy.
Questions:
What did he put in the chocolates?
What was the turntable thing he spun around on?
What exactly is happening in the closeups beginning ~16:40? By the way, do you like that look with the hat pulled right down to the eyes that seemed to be popular in women’s styles of that era? I think it can be very attractive.

So Olive was the girl robber, but was she in it much? I only remember seeing her for a moment when they introduced her.
Yes, that part kind of confused me too, not only the who, but in terms of what was happening in general.

…though about 6 mins through the music was cut out, I'm supposing for legal reasons. The music that does play is great dancing music, though.
Yeah, that was kind of weird. Totally gone midway through (except for one brief and mysterious staccato chord later. (Huh??) It was good music, though, while it lasted—dripping with that ’20’s sound.
Good Morning, Nurse
(Where does that title come from? Did I miss something?)

This is one of the most entertaining shorts I've ever seen! I loved that car so much!
Yes, I thought this one was pretty funny, too. Just a lot of sight gags, but a lot of fun to watch. It seems to be something that would appeal to children and people who have a child-like love of slapstick (like us, I guess
)

Especially in the beginning where the car was rocking, that was funny. I liked how the music had the sound effects, too. That added a tad bit more fun.
The car was clearly the star of the show. (May it rest in peace.
). I liked the sound effects, too.

I only wish the opening and ending cards were there. Speaking of the cards, did you notice that there are none at all in this short? And it takes nothing away. We know exactly what's going on. They say that's a sign of a well done short, being able to understand the show with little to no title cards.
That’s right—hadn’t really thought about that until I saw your mention of it.
Olive was very pretty, and I like Ralph Graves, though he doesn’t have much to do here other than act as straight man for the gags. I know him best from the 1923 Mabel Normand feature
The Extra Girl. If you’ve not seen that, I can highly recommend it, and also the Normand feature
Mickey.
