I always focus on the weird background details.
Speaking of the title cards, at one point someone said about Ed "He looks like a bad boy." um, how does one look like a bad person just by a glimpse? Talk about judging a book by its cover!!
You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)

That was the severely bunned Mrs. Hamilton who made that remark!

You beat me to it, Steppie. Yes, that was when the policeman brought him to the door. I wondered about that, too. How could she know that after a two second inspection? (She didn't have her severe bun at that point, though. :D )

She also remembered him from the time he took the puppy's food bowl to give to Simp, so she probably thought, "Ugh, that thieving little street urchin." So, an extra layer of judgmental.

Okay, how about severely loose-haired? :D

Actually, I kind of thought she looked pretty with that severe bun.

Yes, it's not unattractive (though still severe :)) , but I still think she looks prettier with it down, if only she weren't badmouthing our boy at the time. :?
