Vintage Photos at Random
Re: Vintage Photos at Random
I can't guess why this photo would have been made. I also don't know where I found it or why I like it, but I do.

Loving the Carolyn Stoddard hairdo. Perhaps it was an ad for coffee vendors.

Yes, everything, including the clothing, hairstyle, and even the font on the coffee machine lettering.
You read my mind.

What a gorgeous photograph, how sharp and clear. It's almost 3d-looking, isn't it? And the beveled frame enhances it greatly. Do you have any information on what photographic process this used, or when it was made? From the hairstyle, I'd say 1850's or '60's.

Unfortunately, I know nothing of this. I accidentally saw it on pinterest. I looked around for information, but didn't see anything.

Nothing like a little radio entertainment with the morning coffee (or tea, I guess, here).

I like the atmosphere of that photo. That guy looks super content, even to the point that his right shoe is partially off. (By the way, do you wear your shoes in the house?) Not sure if you know, (I didn't!) Ernest Hare apparently was an American singer. Perhaps he's listening to himself on the radio?
