I think looking at old menus is interesting. Here is one from Warner Brother’s Studio Cafe, February 17, 1941. I wish the resolution were a little better, but it's readable.

I noticed that the daily special was printed specifically for that day. Typically it's not on the normal menu. And, note, also, that the prices are in CENTS. Nowadays, that would read 10 dollars for a cup of coffee. 😂

Yes, the menu must have changed daily, and they had quite a wide variety of selections, ranging from very common, almost fast-food types of items to gourmet cuisine. Nothing but the best for the stars, I guess. :)
