This is fascinating. Man oh man, cars and horses and people just went wherever they wanted.

We didn't need dialogue. We had faces!

That's really interesting to watch, isn't it? No lanes or regulation of traffic in any way. Each person for himself. From other early films I've seen, this seems to have been the case in every city back in that day, though it's especially apparent here in this one! I guess they could get away with it due to the speed everything was moving?

Fascinating! It's shocking how they drove so close to the trolleys, and in between them as well! You can definitely see the need for traffic lights, though they'd ruin the scenery indefinitely.
You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)

It was definitely a free for all, I bet the children loved it. So much going on in the streets, horses, wagons, trolley cars. How exciting the new autos must have been for everybody, until you got run over by one.
did you guys check out all the silent movies on that website, very poor quality, but still a ton of stuff.

Yeah well, isn't that just how life is, it's always fun until somebody gets hurt.
