Favorite Silent Film Posters

Post by BettyLouSpence »

What are your favorite silent era movie posters?

Here's a 1913 poster for the Biograph film An Indian's Loyalty starring Lillian Gish. Unfortunately it seems that its survival status is unknown.

And smoking! I say!!

Ok, I really love this one for Little Annie Rooney. I think it's the painted words and caricature on the fence. It's a poster design that I don't think would be out of place today.

Reminds me a little of Tom Sawyer.

Why do men have "wild oats" but she only has a single one? 🤔
