I had to go to Google Translate to hear that pronounced. :D I love to hear Swedish spoken (that, and Dutch). One of my favorite sound films is Ingrid Bergman's first picture, Munkbrogreven (The Count of the Old Town) made in 1935 in the years before she immigrated to the US. (Of course I need the English subtitles to know what's going on. :) )
That's really cool. :) For me Russian is really fascinating to listen to, though my understanding of it is scant. I think it's the palatalized consonants that draw me in.

Here's another Colleen poster, this time for Naughty But Nice (1927). I'd say this was done by John Held Jr., but for the life of me I can't find his signature, which he was insistent on adding because of copycats. I guess this is just a good imitation then.

Wonderful! The kind of genius it would take to create those kinds of stylizations out of thin air just fascinates me.

Here's another Swedish one, this time for an Alla Nazimova lost comedy, Billions (1920).

I really like that one!

That one confuses me. I wonder why she would be in that posture looking through a tennis racket?

A question that might only be answered by the film... but alas. :(

Here's another Alla Nazimova one, this time in English and for the film Madame Peacock (1920). This one is at least extant.

I've always loved this one for It (1927). I think it's the colors and the bubbles.

That one reminds me of the style that I've seen in Shirley Temple posters/ads.
