Miniature Books

Post by Kitty »

I've been making miniature books lately. They are so fun to make!!! I decided to make a 10 volume set of haikus, and it's so fun to make the books, that I will even make mini books for my short stories. I have completed one haiku book, and am working on my second (which will be volume 9. There's a method to my madness, I promise.)

I have one haiku book put together, the second in the works.

The flowery one is my one completed haiku book. The orange covered book is Awaiting Aunt Matilda, a short story I wrote for Aunt Kitty's Storybook, and have published on my blog.

You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)

These are fabulous! What a nice collection. This is really a good creative outlet, and will be things to treasure.

Thanks for pictures. I'm very impressed! :D

How did you learn to do the bindings/covers?

YouTube! There are various ways to do it, depending what exactly you want to make, so I chose one for the materials I already had and got started. For the Matilda one I actually printed the words on the paper, instead of gluing the words on like I did for the haikus. It makes for a more authentic feel. Now I have to write more short stories to make more!
