We've made fun of so many ads, I thought a thread for the good ones would be uh, good.
Here is a particularly nice one to start off, a label from a lemon shipping crate, I would guess. But isn't this beautiful??

Re: Beautiful Ads
This thread's been a long time coming!
That is so pretty! I have a Du-Pont ad that I'll take a photo of. It was inside a Thomas Moore poetry book from the 1890s that had all kinds of goodies in between the pages. I was certainly in heaven when I was presented with that book!

Re: Beautiful Ads
Not an ad, technically, but I like the name and design.

That is a really hard decision! But I think I've settled on 1924.

Re: Beautiful Ads
That's my favorite, too. I like all the ones in the middle. The first and last are my least favorites. 1905 looks dull, and 2002 looks goofy. Did you notice the "fascinating artificial flavor" on the 1941 and 1957 ones? They sure wouldn't be bragging about that today.
Re: Beautiful Ads
I didn't notice that! Weird that they would brag about an artificial flavor, even then.

Re: Beautiful Ads
Yes, that's what I thought. Why would that ever have sounded like a good thing?
Wrigley's has had some nice looking ads in the past. Here are some samples I found.
