Favorite photos of silent stars
Re: Favorite photos of silent stars
Nice! I've seen the one with the raven, but not the first one. Thanks for sharing
You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)

Watched Keaton's The Cameraman last night—poor Buster has such a hard time. Here is a still of him with Marcelline Day in the pool scene. They made a pretty good couple.

Odd to see Theda with a normal pet (instead of a raven, skeleton, etc.)

Isn't it? Sometimes I think it would be nice to know the sources for some of these photos. I need to keep going with those old time magazines --- I can't wait to see some of the more renowned actresses from the teens. You know, the ones people still talk about.

Here is a page out of the June 1911 Motion Picture Story Magazine. This one has two photos, one is of Anna J. Nichols and the other is of Edith Storey.

I like those photos. Anna J. Nichols looks slightly like Theda Bara in profile, doesn't she?
