Christmas Songs

Post by Kitty »

Believe it or not (and like it or not!) the Christmas season is upon us. I just heard this song Ornaments by Homer and Jethro for the first time today.

You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)

Both of those are new to me. Is that the Andrews Sisters with Bing?

Yes, it is. I'm surprised you have never heard that one! It's lots of fun.

I like that one, too. There were many acts like The Andrews Sisters, but they seemed like the most fun in my opinion.

This is my very favorite Christmas song in the whole wide world. Guy Lombardo and his Royal Canadians singing He'll Be Coming Down the Chimney (Like He Always Did Before).

That's a great one. I love Guy Lombardo's music. Kenny Gardner had such a good voice. This is the kind of song that makes us all feel like kids again, doesn't it? :-)

Yes! And I love that feeling. I think that's what the goal of Christmas music should always be.

I've always loved Christmas in Killarney. This version is by Bing Crosby.
