have this one jingle that is always in my head. I love to sing it loud and clear on top of my lungs, much to the chagrin of my husband. Look how beautiful Peggy Lee is in this one. Oh, and by the way, this very song is my ring tone!

Commercial Jingles
You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)
Re: Commercial Jingles
I can't believe I didn't post this before! Actually, I couldn't find it on youtube for the longest time, but today I did! I love this jingle!

Re: Commercial Jingles
Finding what you're looking for with only a vague description is really very satisfying, don't you think? Well, finding this and hearing the full song finally after years of it being in my head, yet not seeing the commercial again made me unreasonably happy just now! It's a lot more boisterous and toe-tapping than I remember!!
Charmin Ultra, Less Is More.
Edit: I noticed this particular video was taken from YouTube, and put this one here instead. Same commercial, not as great sound quality.

Re: Commercial Jingles
Isn't it funny how things can change in your head? I've had the experience lots of times of going back and hearing things—commercial jingles, bits of dialogue, etc.—I remembered from years ago, and they don't sound the same at all. I've often speeded them up, slowed them down, or somehow exaggerated or re-characterized them in my mind over the years.
Re: Commercial Jingles
That has happened to me quite a few times. A song I thought I liked just didn't have the heaviness I thought it did, etc. It is weird!

Re: Commercial Jingles
This is a weird, kind of annoying Certs ad. Seriously, who thought it was a good idea to keep singing that one line over and over again? Dude, you're fired.

Re: Commercial Jingles
Well, that's the way to get it drummed into listener's heads—whether they want it there or not.
Here is the original Mountain Dew commercial. I guess the name of the product was conceived as a result of the old song. Obviously Mountain Dew has changed its advertising scheme over the years.

There's a bang in every bottle all right—a sugar/caffeine bomb.

You bet your sweet Aspercreme! Ok this is a commercial we thought was hilarious. It used to play right after jeopardy. We used to call each other Aspercremes sometimes. Yes, we were odd.

I loved this! She was gorgeous! I always thought finger waves were so pretty. I learned about them in cosmetology school a million moons ago and thought hmm interesting but then I really started liking them. I forgot about them though till just seeing this and wow how pretty they are in her hair!Kitty wrote: ↑Sun Feb 26, 2017 1:58 amhave this one jingle that is always in my head.
