The Day Is Gone, Yet It Is Not Night
You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)

These are beautiful illustrations, especially the first one. I like the lines and colors.

I really like her! I have some books with her artwork. She is best known for her flower fairy books.

Another interesting thing (you may already know this): she was buried for some reason in an unmarked grave. Here about 2 or 3 years ago, Ned Thanhouser led an effort to raise money from donations to provide a proper marker. I remember contributing a little to it. I think it was a Go Fund Me, or something similar. At any rate, the funds were raised and a nice marker erected. :-)

I think it's because the grave was purchased by her birth mother, and her mother was poor. I think that the LaBadies allowed her birth mother to make the arrangements.
