You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)
Re: Favorite Soundie Photos
Dear, dear...not the way to begin one's day.

Bogie looks kind of old in that one.
Re: Favorite Soundie Photos
I think it's his character. Weren't they in the jungle in that one? I never saw it. (he could also be tired, too!)

Yes, I think you're right. I haven't seen it, either.

My goodness people! You have never seen The African Queen?!? Bogie was suppose to look like crap.
Here is a shot from The Lady From Shanghai, Elsa Banister (Rita Hayworth) with her Dachshund. Which was actually Errol Flynn's doggie. and now the rest of the story...
"While scouting locations in Acapulco Orson Welles had met Errol Flynn who happened to be there with his recently acquired luxury yacht Zaca. Welles contracted to use the Zaca for the two month movie shoot. Flynn captained the yacht himself - one can only imagine what life aboard must have been like with these two renowned high-living, hell-raising, larger-than-life characters. Incidentally, Elsa's dog seen above was Flynn's pet dachshund. "
