Valda Valkyrien

Post by BettyLouSpence »

Instead of spamming the favorite pics thread, I decided to start a new thread devoted solely to this mysterious Danish actress. If I or anyone manages to track down anything new on her - be it any available footage, or personal info - this is the thread to share!

Here's a short 4 minute film from 1916 called Diana the Huntress. That's Valda as Diana. Shame the image quality's so poor though.

Great news! Here's Bolshevism On Trial (also called Shattered Dreams). Valda makes a credited appearance at 3:25 (though her surname is spelled Valkyrian). Now we can properly see her in action!

Good work! Bolshevism On Trial looks very interesting. I’m looking forward to watching that.

Wow! That's a striking one!

Valda pops up in February of 1927 in both The Film Daily and Variety. Of course, the comeback never did materialize.
