I'm really glad you liked it. Something about the fact that it was once thought lost, plus the early thirties-ness, made me really enjoy it.

A couple of more thoughts about this one:
Lillian Bond reminded a lot of Clara Bow in some of her early talkies, a little in her appearance (particularly the eyes), but more especially in her personality and behavior.
Also, I think there were kind of some partial red herrings for the viewer, plot-wise. For instance, it was emphasized that whenever the brother would give Morgan an instruction, Morgan would not respond until he got the signal that it was ok from the sister. But that never really developed into anything.
