Thank you!!!!
You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)

Re: Happy Birthday, Kitty!
You know my style of vintage perfectly!!
I went to an antique shop today and got 4 new books.
I got a copy of Black Beauty from 1912, which happened to be a Mcloughlin Bros publication (I love that publisher!), Tucked In Tales which is a book of children's stories from 1935, American Song Book #6 from 1947, and Children's Stories of Animal Life from 1910. The last one has photos of Roosevelt hunting, and while the content of some of the photos is unappetizing, I still think it is fascinating from a historical context. I'll be posting more detail in a different thread, so keep an eye out.
I ended up paying $28 in all. I think I got a bargain. I knew the lady from a different antique shop that she used to be in, so she gave me a 10% discount for my birthday. I thought that was so nice.
