Never heard of Burger Chef, but Linda and Gilbert sure seem to be happy to work there.
You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)

Yes, don't they? But I'd hate to have to wear that shirt Gilbert has on. The hat's kind of cool, though.
Burger Chef I think was a pretty good-sized chain at one point.

Between 1911 and 1913, an expedition was taken by the British to Antarctica. This is one of the photos taken. It is of a grotto that was formed inside an iceberg. I'm scared just looking at it!

A 1963 prototype for TV goggles that didn't take off. They were way ahead of their time!

Can’t believe those weren’t snapped up.

They don't look too much different from Google Daydream and such other virtual reality models! Wonder what the picture looked like.

Re: Vintage Photos at Random
I can't imagine it would have been too good. But it's kind of amazing they were even able to make something like this in '63. Transistors weren't really being used yet too much, I don't believe, so this thing would probably have had to run on tubes. If so, it would have been very heavy and fragile and would have produced a lot of heat.
