Seems that the New York advertising firm might have suggested something other than a word that means potato, even if it was his name.

I have a feeling if he’d invented that second cigarette, he’d have blown that money, too.
Probably!

While this is all extremely good advice (#4 always makes me mad when I overhear people talking about "sharing" medicines!) the photo is pretty heavy - hitting!

 Heavy-hitting is right! I agree about #4.

I've got some personal experience with the subject of this ad, though I don't really remember it clearly. When I was maybe around 4, my cousin Debbie and I ate a bunch of flavored baby aspirin. We would take turns jumping on the bed and eating aspirin. When my mother and aunt, both registered nurses, found out what we'd done, they rushed us to the doctor for emesis. We'd eaten over half a large bottle, and overdose of aspirin like that will cause massive internal hemorrhage—so they may have saved our lives.

Wow!!! That's insane! I guess that's why they have those child proof tops now --- and maybe why they shouldn't have flavored aspirin, either!

According to Cooks Info -
"Bloater Paste is a fish spread made from salted, smoked herrings called “bloaters”, which are smoked whole with the insides still in them. A bloater has a more gamey flavour than cleaned herrings. It is sold in small jars. Once opened, refrigerate and use within 3 days."

Doesn't sound good to me!!

 :x Couldn't they at least have come up with a more appetizing name? :? Only the English would eat something called "bloater paste." :)

So...to go with that bloater paste, how about some of this??

I was sure that this was another cooked up ad, but it's so real, it's frightening!!! It's called a Bullshot Cocktail. https://cocktailpartyapp.com/drinks/bullshot/
