Yuck! Who keeps dead flies! Furthermore, a QUART?? Ewww August in Vermont must have been very fly-filled.

Yeah, and I don't know as I'd put that right below the ice cream advertisement, either. And what if you lied and really used a non-Russell's swatter for some of them. I'll bet they'd never know. 8-)

What is gargling oil? And why did a gargling oil company put out an almanac? And why are a woman and an owl sitting on the moon on the gargling oil almanac? :)

"This Gargling Oil was intended to cure almost any illness that could befall a domestic animal. The form intended for human use was not introduced until 1875. Merchant’s Gargling Oil was then made in two versions, one for animals and one for people. The ointment for animal ailments was intended for surface wounds and skin ailments common to horses, cattle, sheep and poultry. A topical ointment was also made for human skin problems. Neither product was intended for internal use, despite the product name of gargling oil."

Interesting. :) Thanks for the info. Still odd that they called it gargling oil when it was for external use... I would like to see what's on the inside of the "Dream and Fate" book. :?:

No, you haven't! I love it. The four in the back look like quadruplets (who all use the same barber). And they must be really swinging out because the girl in the front is clearly grooving heavily.
