Unbelievable Ads
Re: Unbelievable Ads
Bahaha! Well he needs it for his Banana sandwiches she sends with him to school every day!

Re: Unbelievable Ads
Well, this one doesn't necessarily go in the "unbelievable" category, but I'll stick here since I have a question about it. It's a TWA (the defunct Transworld Airlines, that is) on-board meal from the '50's. It actually doesn't look that bad, but: what is the mysterious substance in the round container aside the peas and potatoes that is apparently functioning as the entree, I wonder?

I think it's a horribly drawn chicken leg or a piece of pork in a bowl. Very unappetizing looking, that's for sure.
Ok second thought, maybe it's soup.

It looks like something's hind quarters floating in barbeque sauce with mushrooms on top. (I should have waited to finish my lunch before making this post. ) Yes, I guess it's soup of some kind. Funny, I had assumed this was a photo, but I guess it is a painting now that I look more closely.

This kid is feeding a GIRAFFE the cough medicine! Oh my! I saw this on Twitter, and when I tried to research it, I saw it labeled as 1920s. Hard to tell, though!

Re: Unbelievable Ads
That's an interesting one.
Since "licorice" is pronounced with an "sh" at the end, I wonder if you say "licori-sheen" or licori-seen. Just asking. The first way sounds awkward, and the second way too much like "kerosene".
