I thought this was a cool ad for Postum's. This came out of St. Nicholas Magazine, November 1927.

Those are nice! If those were the big bulbs, we put those on the bushes outside our house when I was growing up! They lasted forever!

Yes, they are the big ones. :) We used them, too. I remember all three shapes. I'm sure they used a ton of electricity compared to the modern ones.

A creative idea for an ad. :) Those seem to be odd looking children’s shoes, though. I wonder what the date of the ad is.

I'll guess late 1870s to 1890s judging by the artistry. A.S.T co. Apparently stands for American Shoe Tip Company. Makes sense!
