I wonder if that's the type we had when I was little? Looked exactly like that! They lasted years, too, even till after the paint was chipped away.
Yes, we used them, too, including ones with chipped paint. :D

I think this is supposed to show you how skinny the will look in their clothes, but still!! Chubbettes? Terribly named clothing brand. And do you really want your 14 year old to look 'yummy'?

Good grief!! That's awful. She needs Chubettes so she can "look as pretty as her slim friends." Some ego-builder, there. :? And if this has to be, how about Slenderette for a name? :?

I see there's a whole Chubette fashion catalogue. Are you familiar with Bound Brook?

I'd love to read that Pounds and Personality booklet. To answer your question, I don't think I've been to Bound Brook, but I've certainly heard of it.

I think she ought to go around a sharp curve and sling that shallow dude off the bike. Let him see if he can hunt up a dandruff-free girl that suits him.

How about this RC ad? That's some tall hair Dorothy's got. That bottle, by the way, was 12 ounces, so that made a six ounce serving, which was considered standard for soft drinks in that day.

That's pretty cool!! They still sell those 8 oz cans in the store. Soda used to be a snack or treat to people, now it's replaced water in some cases.

:D I've seen a lot of animal-comedy ads in older publications.

I wonder why the lead dog has a chef's hat on? Maybe he was in charge of the meal, but went rogue? :)
