Crazy, 25 years. It's now been, what, 80? Nice price on that tv, too. 😄

 Man, that's hard to believe, isn't it?

I got looking for the date of the ad, and it seems to be from 1950. While searching, I found this interesting photo. This is a 1945 model. Look at the size of that screen compared to the cabinet.

How did they even see the images? They must have had to stand so close to the box.

Yeah, you'd have to be two feet from the screen, and even then, the image wouldn't be that clear. I guess just the novelty of seeing a broadcast moving picture in your home must have counted for a lot...

Think that screen was small? Check out this '48 model.

Just amazing. It's a wonder that tv caught on, really.

Somewhere I think I posted an interesting old guideline to TV screen sizes from a '40's Popular Science. It had some cool illustrations and information about how to watch on the tiny screens. If I posted that, I don't know where it was and can't find it. I'll try to look it up again.

I'm putting this here because it's sort of related.... Just look at the cover of a crocheting book from 1970. Wonder how many guys were made to wear these crocheted sleeveless
