It wasn't until the 70's, I believe, that they actually developed that minicam where they could easily maneuver around with it. That "walkie-lookie" sounds familiar. I think there may be one of my Popular Science mags with an article about that.

That name made me laugh. Now my husband thinks I'm crazy. (if he didn't before!) They look like chex.
I'd love to read those 12 stories that are supposed to be on the back.
Apparently they were adventures with "Tom, Dick, and Harriet". Shreddies was started in 1953. Thanks for sharing this. You know how much I love cereal history!

You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)

Here's an interesting one - A poster advertising Artcraft Pictures Corporation, which was purchased by Famous Players-Lasky Corporation. It was later made into a subsidiary of Paramount. More info here:

I found this in Motion Picture Studio Directory and Trade Annual (1917).

I wonder what a Fairbanks contract was?
I'm not sure where this appeared, but it's from 1952. I love the stylization of it, and how it captures the excitement it must have been in those days to get your FIRST TV! Even the mailman and the little dog are excited.

That company was created by Fairbanks to promote Mary Pickford's films.
I love that Motorola ad! It's lovely. The exuberant expressions on everyone's faces are priceless.

Re: Magazine Ads
Another UK cereal apparently, as Dr. Who wasn't being shown back when Pertwee was the Doctor. He's not "Dr. Who," though, but just "the Doctor." And Jon Pertwee wasn't that ghastly looking. See photo. Cool badges, though.

Re: Magazine Ads
That is so cool! Pertwee had the same haircut that my husband's grandma has.
