Yes...wouldn't that be nice? I've an idea you could get more of the look and feel of an era by being in a store than almost anywhere else.

I can imagine this being in a magazine or newspaper alongside an article about the location. Pure guess, though.

Not exactly a super market, but this is a photo of Margaret Ann, a grocery.

P. S. Did you know that before the 20s, people used to buy groceries on credit?

No, I don't think I realized that was widespread. I know they often (always?) had them delivered. I know they also got their food from a lot of different sources (butcher shop for the meat, milkman for the dairy, produce stand, etc.) rather than the supermarket being one-stop-shop.
