As a kid I thought Cracklin' Bran looked like dog food. Its sequel, Cracklin' Oat Bran, tasted a little better but was still no substitute for Fortified Oat Flakes, which I loved.

I've never had any of the three. I'd probably have liked Cracklin' Bran. But then I seem to be one of the few people who like Shredded Wheat.

It was very solid and non-permeable, like giant mutant Grape-Nuts. I guess that's why they had to make it ring-shaped, for the milk to get in.
