Ok! :D

Apparently these mint elf looking creatures with the pointed hats were a longtime feature in their advertising.

You know how I feel about mascots!

That "Mother Goose Up-To-Date" poem is interesting.
"Yankee Doodle went to town
In his little auto---
Thought he'd get his girl a treat
Beneficial, lasting, sweet---
Saw a sign and took the hint
And bought a pack of double mint!"

Yes, I do. :D These are pretty nifty ones. Concerning Mother Goose, there seems also to have been a series of ads based on those stories.

Mother Goose is another passion of mine! There actually was an 1895 book called Mother Goose Up To Date with silly more 'modern' variations on the rhymes. Of course, it goes without saying that Wrigley made up their own for these ads!

Here are a couple more that seem to be nursery rhyme related. I can't read the upper print on the bottom one, though. I like the little pointy heads. They remind me of Hi-Tension in the Worry-Go-Round book that I was fascinated by as a child. (I'll have to make a thread about that.)

Two aesthetically pleasing ones. Notice they ditched the "artificial" on the Juicy Fruit.

Oh, man! I wish hats were a more common thing in today's society. 😍

Here's another Wrigley, an interesting and rather strange one. Notice the extravagant claims at the bottom...and the Wrigley eyes.

I've noticed these "Sweetheart of the Corn" ads before. What's the deal with that? Maybe they use the tender center of the corn kernel, the "heart" in their cereal, and the sweetheart on the package symbolizes that? Or maybe she was just a mascot? Anyway, beautiful ads.
