Beautiful Ads
Re: Beautiful Ads
No, unfortunately I don't. I swiped it from the Mid-Century Advertising Facebook group I belong to. Contributors usually try to put the dates on things they post, I think, but I forgot to notice with this one.
Re: Beautiful Ads
These show up on Roadshow all the time! They are often huge. I think they're a real art form.

Re: Beautiful Ads
They're probably more than 5 feet. They come up on the show pretty often!

Re: Beautiful Ads
This is not really an "ad," but a mp3 "cover" that struck me as being very beautiful and atmospheric. Scenes of a dark forest with light penetrating through always grab me.

Re: Beautiful Ads
Yes, definitely awe-inspiring.

Re: Beautiful Ads
This is more like a business card, I suppose, but I thought I'd share this wonderful card that was in my Chatterbox book from 1883.
Edit: I did a little research, and in 1880, owner Moses Lebensburger retired, and his sons took over the business, a men's clothing store. The M. & A. were Mayer and Abraham! I found some interesting info here: https://sanduskyhistory.blogspot.com/20 ... t.html?m=1

Re: Beautiful Ads
This is in a city where I used to live in NJ. They were tearing down a building, and this original coke ad was revealed!

Re: Beautiful Ads
That's amazing! I wonder what'll happen to it.

Re: Beautiful Ads
My friend who lives there seems to think they're going to save it somehow. They need to, anyway!
