Queen Elizabeth II at 96
It's being reported that the Queen has passed away at 96. She was always a constant, so it's a very strange feeling.
I wish my life was a non-stop Hollywood movie show
a fantasy world of celluloid villains and heroes
Because celluloid heroes never feel any pain
and celluloid heroes never really die...

Yes, I just heard the news.
I so much admired the Queen. She was such a blessing to her nation, and really to all of us, because of what she stood for. She always showed such faith and strength and was really the embodiment of what a good leader should be.
She went through so much personal stuff, but never lost her sense of duty and her sense of responsibility to be an encouragement and a force for good in any way she could. I often enjoyed listening to her Christmas speeches because they were always just so kind and positive and uplifting.
It is. Although not surprising at her age, it’s still a shock. It just kind of seemed like she would be on the throne forever.BettyLouSpence wrote: ↑Thu Sep 08, 2022 1:58 pmIt's being reported that the Queen has passed away at 96. She was always a constant, so it's a very strange feeling.

I am also very saddened by this. It is the end of an era.donnie wrote: ↑Thu Sep 08, 2022 2:29 pmIt is. Although not surprising at her age, it’s still a shock. The prime minister when she was coronated was Churchill, born 1874. The prime minister when she died is Liz Truss, and was born in 1975.

I believe that one was made on the day she met the new PM.
Isn't that amazing? Separated by 101 years.

Hard to believe, all of it. Long live the King, then.

Yes, it's a pity, today is her funeral and by the way there is an online broadcast.
