She was the only daughter of Max Linder. She was 93. She had dedicated most of her life to the preservation of her father's work. She died on the 25th.
I also just learned that both Max Linder and his young wife killed themselves when Maud was just a baby. This happened on Halloween in 1925. Linder died at 12:30 on November 1st. I'm sure this is common knowledge to silent film people, but this is a revelation to me.
RIP Maud Linder

Re: RIP Maud Linder
What a sad story. I just read about his life and death. How desperate and depressed he must have been for him and his wife to think it would be better to be dead and leave their little girl all alone in the world.
I sincerely hope Maud's life was filled with much joy.

I knew about the double suicide, but did not realize that they had had a child. It's wonderful that she was dedicated to preserving his work.
