Public Service Announcements

Here's a very short one about dental health. This guy is smooth, and could have given Rod Serling a run for his money with those dimples!

Drugs Are Like That. This is a classic, well made PSA warning against drug use. Who knows if it had any effect on 2nd graders in 1969, but I will say that I bet this was the most information they had ever gotten, perhaps the first time they had seen drugs in so many shapes and colors, OR drugs at all, for that matter. I wonder how many kids ended up wanting to do drugs because of this?

Keep Off the Grass ---
This is a ridiculous Sid Davis film dealing with the subject of marijuana. It makes so many erroneous claims, that I don't even know where to start! Taken at face value, they are saying that pot is no different than alcohol, despite this video's repeated claims otherwise. "It's not the same." "Why?"
Well, because it's you, son. And the indian music in the scenes that they are smoking is so silly. It's not LSD, for god's sake! Of course, the production does its job in the heavy-handed fashion that Sid Davis always had, and, surprisingly, no one dies  ! What do you think?

Oh, and btw, I have bouts of hilarity from seemingly nothing sometimes, does that mean I'm high?!
No, it's because I'm silly. :geek:

This is kind of a sad PSA about the importance of knowing the safety guidelines for a schoolbus. Reminds me of an Are You Afraid of the Dark episode, but the acting is slightly better

Wow! That's all I can say. The National Drinking Game, a 1 minute long PSA.

The Talking Car (1969)
Here's one about traffic safety. A little boy almost gets hit by a car in front of his house, and then dreams that 3 cars are talking to him about safety rules. That dog doesn't like that gruff sounding car, does he? This would be a great one for mst3k.
