I really like her! I have some books with her artwork. She is best known for her flower fairy books.

Another interesting thing (you may already know this): she was buried for some reason in an unmarked grave. Here about 2 or 3 years ago, Ned Thanhouser led an effort to raise money from donations to provide a proper marker. I remember contributing a little to it. I think it was a Go Fund Me, or something similar. At any rate, the funds were raised and a nice marker erected.

I think it's because the grave was purchased by her birth mother, and her mother was poor. I think that the LaBadies allowed her birth mother to make the arrangements.
