This was a conversation I had a couple weeks ago.
Me: You love the Cinnamon Bear. You think it's awesome.
Hubby: No I don't. It's for 5 year olds.
Me: No it's not! It's for ALL year olds!
And then I laughed hysterically at my cleverness.

Re: Miscellaneous Funnies
You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)
Re: Miscellaneous Funnies
Hubby will come around someday. Continue positive guidance.
Re: Miscellaneous Funnies
I know he is lying to himself.

Re: Miscellaneous Funnies
Yes, obviously a case of self-delusion.

Re: Miscellaneous Funnies
The Lollipop Guild was more terrifying than the flying monkeys!!!!
Actually, I think I was one of the few children that was not scared at all by that movie. The scene where they're walking through the witch's forest was a tinge creepy maybe, but not bad. What confused me most was the apple trees that throw their apples. That was a mighty weird scene!

That's interesting—you must have been a brave little girl! Yes, the apple trees were weird, a lot of parts were spooky and scary to me as a child—the tornado, the flying monkeys, the Wizard, the forest, of course the witch and the castle (especially that part with the hour glass!) It was the kind of scary where you didn't want to look, but you couldn't resist peeping.
