I have a confession to make. I have never had a mince pie. If I remember correctly, my grandma used to make it just for my dad, but I was really little. I know that I've always LOVED angel food cake, and she made that every holiday. YUMMMMM! I think I know what kind of desert I'm picking this time.

I've had mince pie. It was really good, just tasted like spices. You'd never know there was meat in it.

But then you have to carry a shovel around...

I'm pretty short so this is especially funny to me. A lot of people have done the first one to me. Going through the church line they'd shake my hand and do that, thinking I was a little girl, but at the time I was over 20.

The true correct way is to stand about a foot further away from said short person than you would an average height person. It's easier that way, no looking up or down by either party.
