Leave It to Beaver was a sitcom centered around 2 boys growing up in Mayfield USA. It's timeless. When I think of Leave It to Beaver, I always remember something I saw on TV Land back in the early 2000's. Sometimes they would have TV Land Haikus. They had one for Leave It to Beaver and it was:
Leave It to Beaver,
And you'll be sorry you did,
Boy's dumb as a stump.
Leave It to Beaver
Leave It to Beaver
You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)

We watch it everyday. One thing they did reinforce in everybody is that it never pays to tell a lie, ever. You will always get caught by your parents and things will just get worse and worse until you fess up.
Love the Haikus, Beaver was a bit slow on the up take in many an episode.

We didn't need dialogue. We had faces!
