Bill Cullen
Re: Bill Cullen
Two interesting shots of Bill on the set of The Price is Right, the first from the audience's point of view.

Re: Bill Cullen
Those are neat!!
You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)
Re: Bill Cullen
Wow!!! That is insane!

Re: Bill Cullen
It's been a long time since I was in a laundromat, but I think that one is a lot fancier than the ones today, isn't it? I guess that chain is no longer in business. You know, I've seen remnants of those Norge signs, and never knew what business they were originally for. They were always polkadot balls on poles.
Re: Bill Cullen
Interesting! I didn't know it was a chain. Thought it was some family laundromat that someone was trying to get rid of. I've never heard of the name.

Re: Bill Cullen
Yes, it seems to have been a nationwide chain. He made some references to it near the end of the video. Here's one of the signs. Ever seen anything like that? Some of them (prob not many) may still be around, repurposed with other business names.

Re: Bill Cullen
No, unfortunately I have never seen one of those. Another I've not had the pleasure of seeing (guess they're all gone now) is the Burma Shave roadsigns. Would have loved to be able to see those.

Re: Bill Cullen
I'd have liked to see the Burma Shave ones, too.
Here's a Norge sign that got morphed into another laundry business.
