I think the gang have their hands full with this gal. As much as Adam has been putty in Nicholas's hands, he'll really be putty in her hands. Hard to foresee how this is going to come out.

Yes, it seems Barnabas should be aware of Roget, seeing that her infamy was known in America and she was executed here in the 18th century.

Like Barnabas, I'm getting tired of Adam, and am ready for him to leave. (Or at least change sweaters. )

To answer your earlier question as to whether Leona was supposed to have died, I'm guessing so, since the body was just a transport for the 'life force' to create Eve.

Yes, this is quite different from the delicate and innocent shrinking violet he may have been expecting.

I don't like Eve at all. So far, she's one of the most unappealing characters to me. So you say you like her?

I think Stokes and Barnabas—particularly Stokes—are fearful of what evils she may unleash if loose and unrestrained. You'd think by now everyone would listen to Stokes and realize he's the only one with wisdom about the situation.

I liked the mysterious of that chilling wind / spirit.

Meanwhile, I guess Willie and Maggie are still hanging out in the mausoleum??

David! It's been a while since we've seen him. This is a weird ass episode. There's no reason for Maggie to be in the mausoleum now. Wasn't the whole reason for Willie to kidnap her to keep her away from the experiment? Well it's over, so there's no need to keep her there.

Willie isn't going to come back from this. He's ruined Maggie's opinion of him for real this time, I think.

This 'evil spirit' that keeps slamming the doors open is already getting tiring. Maybe they need an exorcist!

There's no reason for Maggie to be in the mausoleum now. Wasn't the whole reason for Willie to kidnap her to keep her away from the experiment? Well it's over, so there's no need to keep her there.

True, though he didn't know that until he went back to the old house for food. But he couldn't have released her anyway because she would have (may have, in fact, now) gone straight to the police. There was no good end plan for this from Willie's standpoint.

Did you find his reaction afterwards unrealistic, though? If he'd come across somebody Willie had kidnapped and tied up, don't you think he'd have been the slightest bit afraid of him? It doesn't seem he would be casually sitting there waiting to confront him with it. What he'd have probably done in real life would have been to run yelling back to Collinwood to get help. Anyway...

Yes. I was thinking after I typed that about producer Dan Curtis's saying that the whole plot of Dark Shadows is just a dream, and anything can happen in a dream.

I don't remember what Angelique wants with Joe.

I'm not clear on that either. I mean blood, obviously. But she could get that anywhere. Either she has an emotional attachment to him, or she just needs him to have an emotional attachment to her for some reason.

Strange. Yes, who was that knocking? And why did Joe stay behind hiding in the shadows at the old house after delivering the message? And why indeed would Blair want to be helping Barnabas?

Another good episode. I think it's interesting how Nicholas's role has increased more and more until he is now the driver of all the events. And I was just about to think Angelique had been totally written out!

In the first scene with Nicholas, was Harry having trouble remembering his lines, or was that hesitancy just part of his acting of the part?
