I thought I'd share some letters written by fans to various movie magazines in the silent era

I'll start us off with this one from 1926 in Photoplay magazines "Brickbats and Bouquets" section (which is a goldmine for this sort of stuff) complaining about the lack of good portraits of male stars.

Yikes! I wonder if the actors got scared when they read stuff like this.

When I see letters like this that get published, I wonder what the actual handwritten ones looked like!

Do you think Lydia and Pat started a Richard Dix fanclub in their hometown? If they were in high school, I can imagine the inside of their lockers being plastered with his photos
