The Sprinkler Sprinkled apparently has multiple versions made by the Lumiere brothers! (1895)

Do you know of any other versions of this?

You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)
Re: Silent Shorts
Interesting! I'd never seen the second one. According to IMDb, there are two versions, one made in 1895 and one in 1896, so this must be them. (The first remake? ) I like the top one best, which I'm assuming is the 1895.

Good ones. And how about The Waiter's Ball? Have you seen it? One of my favorites.BettyLouSpence wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2023 5:39 pmFatty and Mabel Adrift remains one of my favorite two reelers. The Cook with him and Buster Keaton is another one.

No, I hadn't. Thanks for sharing!
I wish my life was a non-stop Hollywood movie show
a fantasy world of celluloid villains and heroes
Because celluloid heroes never feel any pain
and celluloid heroes never really die...

And how about The Butcher Boy with Al St. John and Buster Keaton (his film debut). You've seen that one, right?

A delightful 1 minute short from 1902, Grandpa's Reading Glass.
The quality is pretty bad, but remember it's from 1902.

That baby does not look amused! My favorite part was the kitten.

Somehow I did not realize those were their pets. But monkeys were a common rich person pet back in the day.
