After mentioning The Sunbeam in the Jobyna Watch-fest thread, I got to thinking about it and enjoyed went back and rewatched it. Here is this wonderful little Biograph from 1912. :)

Wow, what a difference! Talk about something begin brought to life... I can't tell exactly what they're doing at the time clock when they reach up.

By the the way, the little "That's all" at the end is in imitation of what Annette Hanshaw did at the end of most of her recordings. (I guess that actually is Annette, dubbed from a song. :-))

I especially like the added sound and perfect parts where they are laughing. If one didn't know, one might think this sound was from an original recording.

Some people said they didn't think they were actually clocking in or out.... I just had a random thought that maybe they are grabbing their schedules.

It could be. But it looks like to me they are reaching up and turning a particular knob or something. That's a mystery.

This one is beautiful, of a girl eating a snack with her drink of milk.

I saw this one the other day! That cat is so cute :he:
I wish my life was a non-stop Hollywood movie show
a fantasy world of celluloid villains and heroes
Because celluloid heroes never feel any pain
and celluloid heroes never really die...

No music for this one, but a good comedy composition would be a suitable background. This is one of the 5 that the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia recently put on their channel we a sampling.

The Little Street Singers is also from 1909, and also from the NFSA. Looks like none of these have been put to music, but seriously, you're going to want to view these films that they have out there for the public. So far there are only 5 released to the public, but I'm hoping that they will add more as time goes on. This one is hand colored, and so beautiful. The tones give me such a wonderful, comforted feeling. :he:
