Yes, it does look very modern—especially Edith.

Here's an unusual one. Some of them I don't fully understand. Her back is made up by electricity? Is that a sort of air brush? And I know some people do this, but if you tattoo your lips a certain color, you can only wear certain things to match.
That makeup mirror looks like it would shine right in your eyes to look at it. The radio one is interesting, and curling irons haven't really changed have they? Overall, it's a neat glimpse.
P. S. Have you ever heard of the names Louise Lorraine or Gwen Lee?

You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)

This is cool! :) Yes, the back makeup thing looks like some kind of paint spray gun :? and I didn't even know backs needed makeup. :?: And the makeup mirror doesn't exactly look too practical. I guess it would beat putting on makeup in the dark (but just barely, probably).

And the curling iron does look exactly the same. Only all the electrical appliances in the '20s had a screw in plug that went in a light bulb socket instead of the two prong plugs we have today. (That fact courtesy of my 1927 Sears Catalog reproduction. ;) )

No, I've not heard the names Louise Lorraine or Gwen Lee before.

If you see any more things of this kind, like actors using "new" technology, etc., post it. I think those are interesting.

Here's a really beautiful one of Edith Storey. She looks like a bright, fun person to be around.

Yes, that is a good one.

Here's one of Louise Fazenda. Hard to know what she's prouder of—the new chicken or the new hairdo. :D
