The Wind, maybe? In The Unseen Enemy both Dorothy and Lillian's hair was a mess, but they still looked beautiful nonetheless!!

Beautiful portrait. For a slight change of pace, how about this one of Lillian? I have no idea what role she may be portraying here.

I really like her hair here. Its wispyness frames her face very effectively.

I always loved this one of Clara Horton.

That's a beautiful portrait. It's so perfect, it almost doesn't look real.

This is Claire McDowell, an actress whose career spanned about 40 years. She was in a short I just watched called The House of Darkness, (1913). Lionel Barrymore was in it, and Lillian Gish had a brief appearance, as well. This was a Biograph photoplay, so no one knew the names of these actors as of yet.

She is looking pretty windswept there. And still beautifully ethereal.

I love behind the scenes photos. This leaves no doubt about who is playing The Robot, Brigitte Helm herself.

Cool picture!! I honestly don't know if I've seen Metropolis. If I have, I don't remember it at all.

I'll try not to be shocked and appalled. LOL I can safely say if you ever did see Metropolis, you would not ever forget it.
