That’s interesting! Oh, but Lois’s hair was so beautiful in Miss Lulu Bett! What a shame. I like the captions, though. I wonder if I got a crew cut would I develop unsuspected piquancy? :)

She could have worn a wig if she really didn't want to cut her hair. I'm thinking the editors made up this caption for interest - creating. (is that a real term?)😂 Wonder which magazine this came from?

Yes, that caption does sound a little contrived. ;)

Here's an ad for Francelia in Blind Husbands with von Stroheim. Notice how the "von" is missing from his name. And what is a wonder play, I wonder? :)
