Beautiful Magazine Covers

Post by Kitty »

How about this? I think this thread may be a hit!
I think it's interesting that this says 'for July' rather than just 'July' or 'July issue'.

That is a beautiful cover—and featuring just about my favorite silent actress, too!

I always loved the covers for Photoplay. Wish I knew the exact year for this one. Mid to late 20s it seems.

I wish my life was a non-stop Hollywood movie show
a fantasy world of celluloid villains and heroes
Because celluloid heroes never feel any pain
and celluloid heroes never really die...

Ooh - I just found this absolutely gorgeous one! Gladys Leslie on the cover of Motion Picture. May of 1919.

Very Christmas-y, what with all the red and green. That's a beautiful-looking issue. If it were about $100 cheaper, I'd be putting in a bid. :) Not that it's not worth that...
