He was indeed. I enjoyed the animations of the people, too. He had a most distinctive style.
That is an interesting one. It's odd how those very early animations were very basic in style, just a few lines to indicate objects and backgrounds—hardly any detail at all. The cow tail cranking gag also occurs in Fatty and Mabel Adrift—Mabel does it while Fatty is milking the cow.
