Album Covers

Post by donnie »

What's your favorite? Not necessarily your favorite band or music, but just cover art you found cool?

10,000 Maniacs have had some memorable ones. Example:

Great idea for a thread! I've always loved the cover art for the band It's A Beautiful Day's self-titled debut album, from 1969:

Now that's a band I've never heard of, will have to check them out. Yes, striking cover.

Betty Lou, I love It's a Beautiful Day, White Bird is an EPIC song.

I love this Molly Hatchet album cover, mostly because I love big black horses and I also like Molly Hatchet.

That's certainly a mysterious and evocative cover! :)

John and Mary (John Lombardo and Mary Ramsey) were a folk duo who split off from 10,000 Maniacs and had some interesting cd covers. I used to have a copy of The Weedkiller's Daughter, but I've not heard anything from The Pinwheel Galaxy.

The cover of the Afro-Caribbean group Osibisa's 1971 album "Woyaya" is pretty memorable.

Here's an album I bought just for the great kitschy cover.
