This song is deeply moving to me, and I don't think anyone could sing it like Joni Mitchell.

Ooo! Ooo! I know that one! Very beautiful. Cool that it's from a tv performance, too. I think that fashion should come back, and I'm not being silly!

Sandy Denny's voice was so beautifully suited for the traditional British songs she sang.

What a haunting voice and a haunting song—it is indeed a great combination of song and singer.

It's amazing to see three legends together on the stage there—Mama Cass Elliott, Mary Travers, and Joni Mitchell. That's a threesome.
Yes, I wish that fashion would come back, too.

Judy Henske's song High Flying Bird from 1964. I
love how husky her voice is. Jefferson Airplane would cover this one just two years later on their debut album.

Guess it's stretching it to call this folk singing, but I ran across this song lately and love it. (By the way, I was listening to Kathy Smith's Blackbird and the Pearl lately—I *love* that one—and that title is what reminded me of this song by Rumer.)

I'm not hugely into the folk genre, but my go-to singer would be Mary Hopkin. This is the song that made me fall in love with her voice, a cover of Tom Paxton's "How Come the Sun."

Sandy Denny made me think of the independent artist Heather Dale, although Sandy is much better than her. Thank you for posting, Betty. It is beautiful.
