60s Music

Post by BettyLouSpence »

I figured I might as well make a thread for 60s music :)

Here's a girl group called Honey Ltd, whose sole, self-titled LP was released in 1968. From that album is this cover of Louie Louie:

Good thread! This is the first time I've heard of Honey Ltd. A most distinctive sound!

I've always liked this Dionne Warwick song. It's one of those classic Burt Bacharach sounds from the '60s.

This medley by the band It's A Beautiful Day. These three songs from their eponymous 1969 debut album - Bombay Calling, Bulgaria, and Time Is - all blend together seamlessly.

Some interesting and innovative sounds there...and a classic cover! I like the mesmerizing drum solo toward the end.

This reminds me of some favorite rock instrumental music from the '60's, the Underture from The Who's rock opera Tommy.
