Christmas Songs
Re: Christmas Songs
Wooohoo!! Thanks for reposting this. It's good stuff, kind of haunting.
You trying to tell me you didn't hear that shriek? That was something trying to get out of its premature grave, and I don't want to be here when it does. - Phantom of the Paradise (1974)
Re: Christmas Songs
My pleasure! Haunting...?
Re: Christmas Songs
It's a good haunting sort of like a nostalgic feeling that I didn't even experience. I mean, if some guy hadn't loved his job at k mart and kept the tapes (they used to throw them away every period) we wouldn't have these. It's something that will never 'be' again.

Yes, I see what you mean.

Members of the London Philharmonia do a musical Christmas card each year. Here is the 2020 one, arranged for nine cellos. The cello is such a beautiful instrument.

Re: Christmas Songs
I was listening to the Kmart music this afternoon while cleaning produce, and I was wondering about the song at 30:03. Obviously a Christmas song, but I've never heard it. Oddly, the first phrase is identical to "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot." And then it kind of "restarts" at 31:00, this time combined with "It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas."
I'm also unfamiliar with the Hawaiian guitar one at 57:04. That guitar is reaaaaally Hawaiian.

Re: Christmas Songs
I happen to be off on Christmas Eve for once, so I'll listen then! Such fun stuff.
